About Us
Papillon Press began as an idea when the owner, Chantal, saw an ad for a letterpress and typecases in January 2009. She decided it would be a good idea to buy them and print stationery. From there, 1500 lbs. of cast iron and 2000 lbs. of lead type were moved five hundred kilometers north in 3 days by seven people to the Papillon Press studio in Sudbury, Ontario.
Papillon Press’ studio is located on beautiful McFarlane Lake in Sudbury, Ontario. When they aren’t busy printing, Joel and Chantal enjoy swimming in the lake, kayaking, canoeing, gardening and generally taking advantage of their surroundings.

Just really cool! I went to college in Ottawa for graphic arts and loved the platen press and the California job case. I’m thrilled you are making invites this way. I am also from Sudbury which makes this even cooler. If you ever come across a California job case I would love to buy one. I make invites with rubber stamps.
