Custom invitation – Sarah & Charles

We’re happy to have our first bilingual (français, english) invitation under our belt! This is a custom invitation we designed for Sarah and Charles, a fun bilingual couple. The one-colour modern design is complemented by a fun envelope liner with a custom monogram.

Printed on 300 gsm Lettra in ecru, 6.5×6.5″. Liner printed digitally.

Merci Sarah et Charles!

Printed business cards – Quo Vadis

Here are business cards we printed for Quo Vadis, a real estate company in Montréal. Printed on heavyweight 600 gsm Crane Lettra, in fluorescent white, this job was two colours on either side. A simple design that is perfectly suited for letterpress printing. Nevermind that we had to print 1000 of them on a handfed press 🙂

Gated invitation – Melina & Emanuele

Well, it was a chilled out Thanksgiving weekend at our house (hallelujah). No turkey and no relatives. However there was beef wellington and there was Secretariat, only one of the greatest horse movies ever made about the greatest horse that ever lived (in Chantal’s opinion). ‘Twas good.

Here is our Gated invitation reprinted for Melina & Emanuele’s winter wedding, finished just in time for the long weekend. We reprinted it in one-colour with a reply card and two envelopes, on our favourite pearl white Crane Lettra.

Golding Jobber sighting

On the way to the Spring Wedding Show, Joel and I encountered our first Golding Jobber…in someone’s garden.

There it was, rusting away. The feedboards had been removed to make way for a MAILBOX that obviously no one ever used.

For shame! You can tell from the flywheel that it must be an early-20th century model as well, which is hard to come by in this neck of the woods. I told them they probably could have sold it, but they didn’t seem too interested.

If anyone is interested in seeing it (or refurbishing it!), it is located outside a sign shop in Orillia, off of Route 12 West (right before the Casino Rama turn-off).

Business card – Lush Designs

Chantal illustrated this little business card for Woodbridge florist Lush Designs. This card is smaller than standard business cards since the client has her own particular card holder. The only other criteria was to feature a peony on the card.

Printed on Crane Lettra, 300 lbs. pearl white. 2×2.5.

Our save-the-date

Our clients are putting us to shame! Here we are just having sent out our save-the-dates for our August 2010 wedding (this summer!!!) when we should have our invitations already printed.

Do as we say, not as we do 😉

Joel illustrated the save-the-date to match his proposal book so the theme was red coral (like Chantal’s ring), diving bells and turtles. And since we are great believers in killing two birds with one stone, he also used the graphic as a promo for his illustration.

Three colours printed by Chantal on Crane Lettra, 140 lbs pearl white. 5×7.

The turtle shell even took on a concave shape while printing!

Chantal's red coral ring, around which the save the date was based.
